Step-by-Step Installation Guide for Kona App on GoogleTV
Part 1: Prepare Your GoogleTV Device
Step 1: Ensure your Google device is registered and set up with your TV.
Step 2: Disable Play Protect:

Go to Settings → Apps → scroll down and select Security → toggle Play Protect to Off.
Part 2: Install FireSend
Step 3: Press the Home button on your remote.
Step 4: Scroll down to the "Search for apps and games" field, click into it, and type "FireSend".
Step 5: Tap the search icon, then proceed with the installation.
Part 3: Use FireSend to Join the Kona Room
Step 6: On the FireSend home screen, the Dashboard option in the right-hand menu is currently selected. Scroll down and choose "Rooms/Share".
Step 7: After selecting "Rooms/Share," choose the "Join Room" option to enter a room code.
Step 8: Enter "KONA" in the text field, then click the next arrow.
Step 9: Once the KONA room is open, scroll to the "Kona+ HDTV Streaming" option and select it to begin the download.
NOTE: If asked, you will need to allow FireSend access to "Install Unknown Apps". Once toggled "yes", hit the back button to return to the download.
If your device is a Google TV Streamer 4K, you will need to activate the device into "Developer Mode".
Part 4: Install and Set Up the Kona App
Step 10: Once the app has finished installing, launch the Kona App and choose the "Add Playlist" option.
Step 11: Tap the Playlist Name field and enter "kona+".
Step 12: Enter your username and password (these were sent to you in a separate email from support@konabroadcast.com).
Step 13: After all credentials have been entered, click the Login button.
Step 14: The playlist will start loading. Once it has finished, if a pop-up appears, select Allow for notifications.
Step 15: The installation process is now complete.
Part 5: Important Notes for Using the Kona App

To refresh content daily (EPG):
Scroll all the way to the right in the top menu until you see the peg person icon. A pop-up menu will appear with the option to Refresh Content. Click it, and the programming guides will update. -
Multi-screen option:
This is also where you can access the Multi-screen option to view content. It is recommended to use a maximum of 3 channels at one time. -
Content availability:
Please keep in mind that programming content can only be displayed if the broadcasting channel provides that information.
